Our Butterfly and Playing in the Yard

The neighbors gave us a couple of caterpillars the found.  We kept them in a jar on our counter and fed them milk weed plants for a couple of weeks.  We got to see them spin their cocoons and eventually turn into butterfly's.  It was quite fun to see them turn into such a beautiful creature.  I have to say the Monarch Butterfly is one of my favorites of all.

Once the Butterfly hatched out of it's cocoon we let it strengthen it's wings before we took it outside.  It liked climbing on Taylor's hand and the kids enjoyed watching it learn how to fly.  We then transferred it to the flowers before it took off on it's first flight.

The kids were trying practicing their summersaults and cartwheels

Preston was hanging out in his diaper because he had been running a fever of 103.  He cut his first tooth the next day
