Trip to Washington

Back at the end of June we took a trip up to Washington to see Taylor's family. His sister Natalie was having a birthday party for their little girl, Megan, she is absolutely adorable. The girls had a great time seeing their cousins and playing the way kids do.

Alexis wasn't afraid to say hi to anyone, she was willing to give a hug to everyone.

Kaitlyn on the other hand took a little while to warm up to everyone...but once she did, she was back to her normal silly self.

The next day was Taylor's niece, Carly's 8th birthday. We headed out to the lake for her party. Unfortunately the weather was a little drab. It rained and was really cold. Taylor was brave and went out on the boat to try some wake boarding. I was very impressed at how well he did.

We had brought the girls swim suits but decided against putting them in the water, just because it was so cold. Kaitlyn still wanted to get into the water...of course, what kid wouldn't? So I rolled her sleeves and pants up and this is how she walked around. She would then do a little squat to pull her pants up. It was quite hilarious.
We should have just let her put her suit on because she ended up getting pretty wet.
But she had a fun time with Carly in the water.
Alexis had a great time just lounging in the chair.
