For preschool Alexis' class took a field trip to our fire department here in Kimberly. They gave the kids a tour and let them get inside the fire truck and ambulance. They absolutely loved it, to this day we will still drive by and they point and get excited to see it.
Brayden our little fireman
Alexis our firewoman
Checking out the ambulance, hoping to never have to take a ride...
I love the fall because of the colors and the smells and just the fun exciting times of carving pumpkins. For FHE one night we went out and picked our pumpkins. The kids had so much fun climbing over all the pumpkins trying to find their perfect one
Carving Pumpkins!!!
I'm sad to say...but this was the only picture I took of Halloween costumes. Actually it wasn't even Halloween when I took it. The girls were on their way to a Halloween party. Kaitlyn dressed up as a ballerina. Alexis is dressed as a pirate but on Halloween she was Little Bo Peep. Brayden was the cutest little cowboy you'd ever seen and Preston was a cute little dragon. I don't know why we didn't even get a picture taken. I am starting to realize how busy life can be with 4 kids. (I think I just need to keep the camera out 24/7 so I can snap away at even the littlest things.)
During the month of October I was taking the 2nd cake decorating course at Michaels. This is the cake that I did for my final project. It was a lot of fun and a lot of work. I am looking forward to finishing the courses hopefully this spring.
Kelly, one of my young women who graduated a couple of years ago got married in November. She asked if I would be the photographer for her wedding. It was a lot of fun and I learned a lot. During her reception she asked if I would be willing to take pictures of her guest as they came in. So we made this giant chalkboard as the backdrop for her guest to stand in front of. I really had a lot of fun drawing out the lettering. It was a lot of work and it took a while but it was fun. If you want to check out their pictures or other pictures I have taken you can check out my photo blog at:
November 23 is Taylor's birthday, he turned 34. The kids helped make him a really yummy cake. They did all the decorating and had fun doing it. For his birthday, he celebrated a little early by going up to Montana with his Dad to go Elk hunting. They went at the beginning of November for 7 days. They had a blast. The weather was cold and snowy but they came home with stories to tell. I am glad he had such a good time. I am grateful for him in my life and I am glad he is the father of our children, he is a kind loving father. Happy Birthday Taylor!!
We went to Washington for Thanksgiving and had so much fun. I took a ton of pictures and was so excited to share them....but...when we put the card in the computer something happened and all of the pictures that were on the card somehow got erased. I was so sad. We tried all we could to retrieve those pictures but could not. So unfortunately they will remain a memories in our heads.
For Christmas we decided to spend at home for the first time since our first Christmas being married. It was so nice and we had such a blast. We were worried that we would open presents the first day and then be bored but it was such a nice relaxing day and the kids had a lot of fun. We spent the whole day together playing with the new toys and playing games. It was perfect. It was so fun to be able to start out some new traditions since the kids are starting to get older and remember. It was a lot of fun and we are already looking forward to Christmas next year.
Christmas Eve we went to a place nearby that has a bunch of Christmas lights set up that you can walk through or drive through. We got out and walked through, it was really pretty and the kids enjoyed it. They even had a camel you could feed carrots to.
Styling in the pj's that Grammie made for them.
The stash that Santa brought
The kids running out to see what Santa brought...pure excitement and joy.
Brayden got his first tricycle. His legs don't quite reach but we are hoping that by the time the weather warms up he will be cruising down the sidewalk.
Alexis and Kaitlyn also go American Girl type dolls and love them. They play with them and change their clothes out . It's fun to see them be little mommies.
Preston got a big truck with smaller trucks that go inside
Christmas was so wonderful. We made a mess and loved every second of it. The best part of it was the time and memories we made together as a family.
Because we stayed home for Christmas we decided we would go to my parents house in Utah for New Year's. We stopped at Temple Square in Salt Lake so see the lights and we got to spend lots of fun time with everyone. The kids really enjoyed playing with the sparklers and fun trinkets that Grandma gave them for our New Year's Eve party. We are excited for a new year ahead of us.
