We are officially moved out of the farm house. I haven't exactly missed it all that much but it was hard to go back in and clean it all up. A lot of memories started running through my mind as I walked from room to room. It's hard to believe how fast the 5 years we lived here went by. We have lots and lots of stories to tell and many wonderful memories. I am so grateful for the opportunity we had to live here even though it might not have been the best of times all the time it was truly a learning experience, and hope to never forget it.
Bare with me as I go through a tour of the house. The pictures are mainly so we can remember all the stories and moments/memories/experiences we had while living here. Beware...there are a lot of pictures.

Side door, but our main entrance to the house
Side yard, many days were spent playing on this small piece of grass. It was perfect because it was completely covered with shade from the big trees during the summer.
As you walked into the house from our "entrance" you came into the laundry room. Taylor built the shelves for me. It was greatly needed shelving, which help store our food storage.
Next came our kitchen. When we first moved in it was white walls with a border wallpaper that had men sitting around a campfire on it. The cabinets were painted a dark forest green. UGLY!! We painted the walls a pale yellow and the cabinet doors a pretty red. I also made curtains to hang in the kitchen. It turned out to be quite a cute little kitchen with all the decor we had in there. It was small, but it was perfect for our needs at the time. There have been many meals cooked, and eaten in this kitchen. Lots of laughter sitting around the dinner table while we enjoyed each others company.
As you left the kitchen on the wall was our height chart. It was so fun to see how the kids had grown, they always loved to be measured.
From the kitchen you walked into the playroom and living room. This is also where the front door was. We installed the pellet stove the second winter we lived there when the furnace went out. It was an oil burning furnace so it was really expensive to have heat our house. It was nice to have the pellet stove, but the down side was the uneven heat throughout the house. The room by the pellet stove was the kids "toy room" all of their toys were kept here and it gave them room to play.
The other side of the front room was the "tv" room

Our bedroom and Taylor's office desk space. I don't really recommend having your office be in your bedroom, but you do what you have to do when you don't have a choice. It was hard when Taylor wanted to get up early to work but I was still sleeping. Considering the size of the house we had fairly good sized closet space and the room was good sized for our bed and a desk, so we can't complain.
From our bedroom it lead to a hallway which led back to the kitchen. On the right was the bathroom. I never really liked the bathroom and it never seemed like I could keep it looking clean. At one point we installed a new sink and faucet and re-tiled the back splash, it helped a little. There was no window or fan in the bathroom so it was hard to keep the mildew and mold from growing.
The girls room was at the top of the stairs and to the right. Their room was quite cute! The girls helped me paint it a celery green color and their bedding was pink. It was a very large room which they loved all the room to run around in.
Right at the top of the stairs was my "craft nook". Taylor built me a desk and some shelves to the left, so I could have a place for all of my crafts to go and so I could have my own space. I loved this little area, many crafts and sewing projects were done up there. I also started my "Cards By Steph" card making business there. (Maybe when things slow down I will get back into it again.)
To the left of the stairs was Brayden's room. It also served as our room for some time, Alexis' room, and the guest room. It too, was a very large room and had massive closet storage.
Lots of good memories and stories to tell in this old house.
Grateful for the experiences and grateful to move on as well. We will always look back on the time we spent in the old farm house as a learning and growing time. So grateful for our blessings!!
