I surprised Taylor for his birthday and we took a trip down to San Diego for the weekend. We drove to the Salt Lake Airport Thursday night and met my parents, they took the girls and we were off (Thanks again Mom and Dad). We had a blast, it was such a relaxing weekend. You forget how nice it is to just run around and do whatever you want and not have to worry about naps and bed time and if the kids will have fun. We love the girls but it was great to feel like husband and wife instead of mom and dad for a little bit. It was a fun way to celebrate Taylor's 30th birthday.
Friday we went out to La Jolla and spent the first half of the day there. The shops were a lot of fun to walk around through and we loved the beach. The weather was beautiful, it was around 63 degrees and blue skies. We couldn't have asked for better weather.
We then headed over to Coronado Island, we loved the island. The shops were great to walk through and we just loved the atmosphere. Especially at night the town seemed to come alive. I wish I would have taken more pictures of the island but oh well, you will have to take our word for it, it was a lot of fun.
Seaport Village
We didn't spend a lot of time hear, it was very touristy, but I did get some got some fun pictures.
We were wanting to go to Little Italy and we just happened upon it on Saturday. They were having a farmers market too. It was fun to walk around. We ate at a cute Italian restaurant where everyone working there was Italian. The food was delicious and the desserts were wonderful!
It was a great a trip, we had a lot of fun. Happy Birthday Taylor! I love you!

Wow what a fun trip. Your pictures are great too. BJ and Angelee were married right there at La Jolla beach. Happy birhtday, what a great gift.
Covet! Happy Birthday Taylor!
What a fun trip! Happy Birthday Taylor! I'm glad you two got to get away for a little bit - every parent can use it once in a while!
Taylor!! How can you be 30??? I was 30 when Brady was born, do you remember that? You were only 13 then- how strange is that? It looks like the two of you had a wonderful time in San Diego, it is one of mine and Scott's favorite places to go by ourselves too. I love La Jolla.
If you are here over the Christmas holiday we would love to meet your children and have you see our grown up kids-Shelby is having fun at college (Western) and Brady is a junior and busy with band...
Take care and happy late birthday. -Jody
