Utah Trip

The week after the fourth of July Taylor had scout camp so the girls and I stayed in Utah for the week. It was a nice break to have family help entertain Kaitlyn and Alexis during the day. I think they enjoyed the time and and I know my family did as well. It took some doing but Alexis finally warmed up to everyone. She is very much a Momma's Girl so the thought of going to someone else would just make her scream, but by the end of the week she was doing good. I think part of it was she had two teeth come in while we were down so I am sure that had something to do with her grouchiness.

One night we went to the park and played on the swings. Both Kaitlyn and Alexis loved it, the weather was so beautiful, it was a shame it was getting dark.

Kaitlyn, Grandpa and Alexis

Alexis and Melanie

Kaitlyn loved the slide!
Melanie was playing in a Volleyball tournament all week. We decided to go to one of her games and cheer her on. It was fun to watch because our cousin Taylor Weitzeil was playing for the opposing team, Morgan High School. Cousin vs. Cousin. I'm sure they were shocked to see two Weitzeil's on opposite teams playing against each other.

Grandma was excited to finally hold Alexis without her crying!
Kaitlyn was completly content just to sit and color. We went to Hogle Zoo one afternoon. Our goal was to get there early and be gone by 12 or 1, but we didn't get there until 11:30. It was in the 90's and not a cloud in the sky. Let's just say it's not the ideal time to go to the zoo, but we still had a great time. The girls did pretty good and they enjoyed looking at the animals that weren't hidden away sleeping.By the end of the day both girls were just hot, tired and ready to go home.It was a great trip and good to be home with the family
