A Tuna Fish of a Lifetime

Last weekend, the 20th of september, we drove to Washington to go tuna fishing. It was quite the trip. So that Stephanie and Kaitlyn weren't stuck home by themselves they ended up heading to Utah. Spencer and Paige drove down from Rexberg and met me in Twin Falls so the drive was much more enjoyable. We left Friday at 2 in the afternoon, arrived in Puyallup at 11, went to bed at 1, left the next morning at 3 for Westport and were heading out to sea by 5. We fished till 10 at night, drove back to Puyallup, slept, and then drove back home for 10 hours.

In order to find the tuna we had to go out 58 miles. Tuna fishing is the only fishing I have done where you actually see the fish "bubbling" on the surface. Once one person hooks into a fish, you real up and start casting out into the tuna ball. It is pretty exciting. Dad, Jamin, Eric and one of jamin's friends fished Friday. Between the two days of fishing we caught roughly 150 pounds of fish.

Fishing really is a lot work

It was so great to see you! (Sad that we didn't get to see your two ladies, but understand why!) I had no idea what a tuna looked like until now. What about that belly shot of Stephanie? We must see one before she "pops!"

When should I be expecting the frozen packages to arrive at the house. You have the address correct I presume.

Sounds exhausting! I am glad you were able to get away for the farm for a day for some fun.

Any babies yet?
