2010 Pocatello Half Marathon

Back in March for some reason I got an itch to go for a run. I ran 2 miles and I was completely dead. I had a hard time running the whole thing. I got home and told Taylor that it was a hard run and I really had no desire to run again. If he had told me that by Labor day weekend I would have completed a relay and would be doing a half marathon, I would have told him he was completely crazy and out of his mind. Well, crazy enough...I did my first half marathon this weekend up in Pocatello!! It was incredibly awesome!!

A half marathon consists of 13.1 miles. I still can't believe I actually ran that far. It was so great and an awesome experience. Taylor caught up to me on mile 8, and it was such a wonderful sight to see. He was at the top of the hill waiting with the girls to cheer me on.

That's me in the orange shirt and the blue tape on my knees.
Towards the end of the race, around mile 10 or 11, Taylor was right there with the girls waiting to run with me part of the way. It was a good pick me up. I was getting pretty tired and needing a boost of energy to get me to the finish line.
Kaitlyn got a hold of the camera and snapped away. She did pretty good don't you think? Taylor said she was holding the camera up to her eye and clicking away.
The last stretch of the race towards the finish line...I'm doing it!!!
and...FINISHED!!! I did it!
It was really such a great experience. I am glad I trained and did it.
My final time was 2hrs and 43 min to complete the race. It was hard but totally worth it, I just might consider another one down the road...we will see what happens.

Atta way! I am glad you made it and are happy, but I am a bit confused about the tape. Fashion statement? Knee support? Needed a place to put it and that was the only place because you were running?

Haha...no I needed the tape for knee support. I know it's hottest fashion statement ever but without the tape I wouldn't have been able to run. Thank You KT Tape.
