Halloween Activities

Last Sunday we went over to our friend's Holly and Mark's house with Taylor's Aunt Shirley and Uncle Alvin and their family for dinner and to carve pumpkins. It was a lot of fun. Kaitlyn would have been a mess if we had let her dig in.Here's the finished product, they wilted a little bit before we could take a picture, but we think it adds to the "scariness" of them.

Kaitlyn's Pumpkin Face Kaitlyn hanging out with Aunt Shirley while we carved pumpkinsFor Halloween night we just stayed home and handed out candy. We have a lot of kids that live in our neighborhood so I bought a lot of candy for all of the cute trick or treaters. I was so excited to give candy out, I think I was more excited then any of the kids that were actually doing the trick or treating. I was in shock that it was almost 7:15 before we got our first trick or treater. When I was a kid it seemed like there were tons of kids everywhere knocking on doors and running from house to house. We did get a handful of kids that came to the door but not what I was thinking would happen. Here is a picture of all of the left over candy that we now get to eat. Having some left over candy is fun but when it's four days past Halloween and it doesn't even look like you have put a dent in the pile, you know you have a problem. Candy anyone??Kaitlyn was a cute little pumpkin for Halloween. She helped hand out candy to a few trick or treaters until she went to bed. I think it will be a couple more years before she really understands the whole concept of trick or treating.Yummy Candy
Which one should I eat first??
I think I will take a succor and some M&M's

So cute. I love her sitting in all the candy. Brilliant! Your pumpkins were amazing! Unfortunately our basically deteriorated prior to us get a photo. We also are left with tons of DumDums. There were quite a few people out and about, but apparently we over shot the mark. Oh well. DumDums for us. Maybe they will make us smarter. :)
