Our First Anniversary

We just celebrated our first year anniversary (Aug 5). We went up to the big town of Stanley, Idaho (population of 100, although there had to have been at least a couple thousand people up there). We left friday after Taylor got of work and went in search for a camp ground. After driving around in the dark for a while we finally found the perfect campground. We were surrounded by trees and dogs. (The camp site next to us had about 10 dogs roaming around. It really wasn't bad at all...they kept to themselves.)

Saturday morning we got up and made a yummy breakfast consisting of pancakes and eggs, Taylor was kind enough to do the cooking while I sat by the fire to stay warm.

That afternoon we headed into town where we went out to Red Fish Lake and spent an hour or so basking in the sun and enjoying the beautiful scenery. Then we headed up the canyon to do a little white water rafting. It was a great afternoon. The rapids were a class 3, pretty intense. I think we will be ready for a class 4 or 5 next time!! It was such a beautiful area!

That night we went and ate dinner at the Red Fish Lake Lodge. We ate some really great food and enjoyed the evening. As our meal was finishing up Taylor went to the "bathroom" and came back with a surprise. He had a cute little box all wrapped up with a bow on top for me. I was excited to see it was a wedding band.

We had a really great trip. It's crazy to think that one year has already come and gone so quickly. We both are looking forward to the many more ahead of us.
